What to Expect

Food Walks of Texas offers visitors as well as natives a unique and tasty way to explore historic downtown McKinney.

Our 2.5-hour Cocktail Tour includes 5 tasting stops at a variety of locally owned restaurants and bars. Enjoy learning about the uniqueness of each restaurant, what makes their cocktail special, as well as the other cultural landmarks and events McKinney has to offer.

We leisurely and safely cover 1 mile strolling around the downtown Square area, spending a sufficient amount of time at each stop. Wear comfy shoes, come thirsty, and get ready to have an exciting evening! While we serve food tastings alongside the drinks, we end the evening near the center of the Square, so you can enjoy dinner after if desired.

Look for your tour guide – “Tall Paul” – outside of Local Yocal BBQ & Grill.

Where To Meet

Your tour guide will greet you outside of Local Yocal BBQ & Grill, located at 350 E. Louisiana St. Local Yocal has a large parking lot available, and there are also several parking lots around the Square. Another ideal parking option is the FREE parking garage on the NE corner of E. Virginia St. and N. Chestnut. Be on the lookout for the “Parking Lot” signs posted around the area. Individual street parking is also available, but limited.

What To Know

The tour leaves right from our office at 97 South Main, and a few minutes later you are on some of Moab’s famous 4×4 Trails following the guide across the sand and slick rock.

*If you have a fear of heights, this may not be the tour for you. Hell’s Revenge has very steep climbs and descents and has a twisting, turning trail that leads you over some of Moab’s toughest Slickrock. At a few points, Hell’s Revenge crosses the Slickrock Bike Trail. Views include the La Sal Mountains, the Colorado River, the Moab Faultline, Arches National Park, Sandflats Recreational Area, and Moab itself.

Each vehicle will seat up to 4 people, and drivers may take turns if they are 18 and over. You will learn to trust the machine! While we specialize in small groups, larger groups can be arranged if you contact us. Children of all ages welcome.
